Carpet Overview
Under the Carpet segment of the curriculum, INSTALL teaches skills that are common throughout the floor covering trade, such as floor prep, understanding pattern matches and general tools. The Standard Skills also include several classes provided by the United Brotherhood of Carpenters, such as forklift, ergonomics and OSHA 10-hour.

Each lesson consists of four components, including the lesson, instructor manuals, student manuals and testing.
Lesson Highlight: Direct Glue Carpet Installation
This lesson addresses direct glue as a method of installing carpet by adhering it directly to the substrate. This method is used primarily in commercial settings, but has residential applications. There are a wide range of carpet styles and backing types that can be installed with this method. This lesson addresses various components of this methodology, including:
