All Hotel Owners, Operators, and Project Managers are sensitive to meeting the objectives of “The Bottom Line” and this often seems to be the only discerning factor that is duly considered when bidding a project. In that regard, when considering Floortec, Inc. for a particular project, one might look at their pricing and suggest it is too high. However, it is not and is fully justified when applying the old adage:
"You get what you pay for."
Instances where the cheapest bidding contractor has been awarded a project are commonplace and more often than not, result in work being done to a sub-standard level of quality and expectation to the point it needs to be redone! Even with the most detailed scope of work, there is typically a lot of coordination and “spoon-feeding” required in resolving even menial issues. As a project manager, this is an experience that results in plenty of frustration and wasted time for all involved.
To date, Floortec, Inc. has been involved with three Hersha Construction renovation projects. Each one started with a detailed scope and was followed through so precisely that it felt like the projects were on auto-pilot from day one. The smooth transition between the start and end of any particular project has been so efficient that man of our General Managers did not even realize the crews were on site.
The expertise of their craft sows both in terms of high work rate and the quality of the work being conducted.
The management and on-site personnel are knowledgeable, well-informed, require minimal supervision and are fully capable of resolving field related issues to the point of anticipation of the customers’ requirements. Any instances that require some change or another are immediately communicated to ensure swift decision can be made.
When considering the quoted caption, above, it would be fiar to say that the work is o such a high standard that you’d be led to believe you are getting more than your money’s worth, which in this day and age is a rare thing to be able to say.
